Kustom® Amplification, a division of Hanser Music Group, has been named “Official Amplifier of B.B. King’s Blues Clubs.” Kustom is providing a variety of amplification products for B.B. King’s Blues Clubs in Memphis, Nashville, Orlando and upcoming new locations.
For the Memphis club, Kustom has provided its all-tube Defender® and ‘72 Coupe® guitar combo amplifiers as well as the new, 300-watt DE300HD Deep End® head and DE410H speaker cabinet.
The venues, which were established by legendary Blues guitarist B.B. King, have earned a reputation as popular nightlife hotspots with world-class live music entertainment. In addition to national and international headlining acts, the clubs feature outstanding house bands and regional groups that perform Blues, Funk, R&B and Pop styles. Accordingly, the clubs will depend on Kustom amplifiers to faithfully recreate guitar and bass tones that span decades of musical history.
"The ’72 Coupe guitar amp is the perfect blend of Kustom’s past with the keen innovation of the present," said Gaius ‘Al’ Davis, representing B.B. King’s Blues Clubs. "(Designer) James Brown has done an excellent job with this amp, which will be used at the Memphis, Nashville and Orlando locations.”
“Kustom is honored to provide amplifiers for such an esteemed and musically demanding environment,” said Mark Hunter from Kustom. “And we’re excited that a wide range of musicians will get to experience our products first-hand. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with B.B. King’s Blues Clubs.”
